Do no harm, do good, stay in love with God.
Let us go into this Christmas season looking out for one another. By following some simple guidelines we are doing as John Wesley asks. We are “doing no harm, doing good, and staying in love with God.”
The Work of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit enables us to grow and reflect God's perfect love and grace. The Holy Spirit at Pentecost reminds us that we are all part of God's creation; and God does not exclude anyone. Together we are the body of Christ. As we walk through our journey of life, let's walk together through the worst and best of our humanity.
What does Easter mean to you this year?
At some point, we will rise as a nation – as the world – above this crisis. And in every church in America, we will celebrate this revival with joy; we will celebrate the light that comes after the darkness; the life that comes after death.
Pastor’s Peace, April 2020
“Peace – it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.”
Baking Cookies
Our internet is overloaded. Our nerves are a little frayed. Our tempers and patience a little shorter. Yet I also know that there are many people who really appreciate the chance to slow down a bit. Time at home to get projects done, more time for reading, chance to stay home with family, get caught up on letter writing and phone calls – and in this time of Lent, maybe a little more time to spend with God.
